Published 26.01.2026

The V.I. Vernadsky Foundation has confirmed its status of a thematic partner of the “Artek” International Children Center for the year of 2026. The decision was announced as part of the 10th International Conference of Thematic Partners, which brought together more than 200 representatives of leading organizations in Artek to determine the vector of collaboration.

The Foundation has won the competition for additional general development programs for the second year in a row. The author’s educational project “ECOLEADER” Natural Science School - from the Past to the Future” has once again become one of the best and will be implemented during one of the thematic shifts in 2026. The program is aimed at deeply immersing schoolchildren in ecology, developing research skills and values of sustainable development.

“The continuation of our partnership with Artek is a sign of high trust and recognition of the quality of our environmental education program,” said Olga Plyamina. – “ECOLEADER” School is not just classes; it is a whole ecosystem that allows children to realize their role in nature conservation through experience and practice. We are glad that our contribution to the environmental education of the younger generation has once again received such a significant platform for implementation in our country.”

In the new year of 2026, Artek’s educational space will become even richer and more diverse. The Center will join forces with hundreds of thematic partners who will present more than 130 unique programs to children. The focus will shift to the deep education of patriotism, strengthening ties with Russia's historical heritage and the active development of international projects.

This qualitative growth naturally builds on the impressive results of the last year. In 2025, 15716 lucky kids received vouchers for thematic quotas alone. The geography of the project is amazing: guys from every corner of Russia and from 81 countries took part in it, which gives the cooperation a truly global scale. The Vernadsky Foundation thanks the management of the Artek International Children Center for fruitful cooperation and expresses confidence that working together in 2026 will open up new opportunities for Artek residents in the study of natural sciences and ecology.
