The first webinar in a series of educational online lectures organized by the Vernadsky Foundation has taken place today. Classes are an important stage of the competitive selection for participation in the “ECOLEADER School” ecological paleontological program named “From the Past to the Future”, which will be held at the Artek International Children's Center.

The first webinar brought together more than 120 students seeking to attend the “CLASSy Time” thematic shift. During the meeting, the participants learned about the key stages of selection, received recommendations on the preparation of competitive video cards, and got acquainted with the schedule of upcoming classes, useful not only for passing the selection process, but also for further development in science.

Olga Pliamina, General Director of the Vernadsky Foundation, in her welcoming speech underscored the special importance of this year for the Foundation. This is the fifth year for the “ECOLEADER School”. “Dear friends, may your participation in the “ECOLEADER School” be a time of discovery, new knowledge and inspiring ideas. And for the most active, the full–time part at Artek will be a well-deserved reward and a new stage of development. The main thing is let it all help you understand you role in protecting and preserving our wonderful planet”, said Olga Pliamima.

Andrey Cheshev, Deputy Director General, presented an overview of the Vernadsky Foundation’s activities and its key projects. In addition, the students got acquainted with the team of organizers and curators of the educational program. The next lecture is scheduled on May 12 and will be dedicated to the art of public speaking. Experts will share professional techniques that allow you to turn any performance into a memorable and convincing event.
