At the dedication ceremony for environmental students at RUDN University, Olga Plyamina, General Director of the V.I. Vernadsky Foundation, addressed the future professionals, emphasizing that the path to the profession begins long before obtaining a diploma.
The V.I. Vernadsky Foundation and RUDN University have been engaged in fruitful cooperation for many years. We highly value such partnership, as it is here that specialists are trained who are ready to address the complex environmental challenges of our time. “For us, RUDN is not just a university we cooperate with. We know very well what strong specialists are being trained here, so it is especially important for us to develop this partnership and give students the opportunity to get acquainted with the industry while they are still studying,” Olga Plyamina noted in her speech.
Special attention in the presentation was paid to practical experience and project-based activities. We are open to RUDN University students becoming participants in our initiatives right now. Our goal is not just to support the students, but to integrate them into real work processes: we will jointly implement environmental projects and promote environmental culture among the population. This is the best way to gain unique experience and become real professionals even before obtaining a diploma.
The main advice for future colleagues: Do not wait until you graduate to dive into the profession. Education and practice should complement each other, creating a solid foundation for your career.
Dear first‑year students, do not be afraid to tackle complex tasks and be bold in your endeavors! We believe in you and will always be glad to have you on our team!
We wish all environmental science students success in their studies, new discoveries, and great achievements!
